The applications of solar photovoltaic power generation are basically divided into grid-connected and off-grid forms. In practical applications, owners often encounter situations where they cannot apply for solar grid connection procedures, and they are unwilling to adopt off-grid power supply methods (due to higher investment). In such cases, owners can only "Sigh in vain."

Based on this situation, we launched a direct solar power generation system that neither requires grid connection nor necessarily installing batteries.

 

First, let's introduce the main applications of photovoltaic power generation. The applications of solar photovoltaic power generation are basically divided into grid-connected and off-grid forms.

Solar Photovoltaic Grid-Connected Power Generation System

The most direct application method is to convert the electricity generated by solar panels directly into 220V/380VAC power to drive loads.

In this application, solar photovoltaic grid-connected power generation is common. You can see solar panels everywhere on mountains, many enterprise factory roofs, and ordinary people's roofs. These basically belong to solar photovoltaic grid-connected power generation. Large-scale solar photovoltaic grid-connected power stations convert the solar power generated into AC power through inverters, then step up the voltage to 10KV/35KV or higher voltage levels through substations, connect to the national grid, and the national grid manages distribution. Additionally, enterprise rooftop solar photovoltaic stations and residential rooftop photovoltaic stations generally use the power themselves first, and upload surplus power to the grid.

Solar Off-Grid Power Generation System

Generally used in places where the national grid cannot reach or in very remote areas, often combined with natural conditions, such as simultaneous use with wind power generation, diesel generator power, tidal power, and other solar multi-energy complementary power generation systems.

In photovoltaic off-grid power generation systems, energy storage is also involved. A few years ago, energy storage was generally lead-acid gel batteries. In recent years, lithium battery energy storage technology has become increasingly mature, including lithium iron phosphate, ternary lithium, lithium manganese oxide, lithium cobalt oxide, etc. Large-scale energy storage such as pumped storage and air storage are also in demonstration applications.

Based on this situation, Hepuyu New Energy launched Direct Solar Power Generation System , the direct solar inverter developed and produced by us, which is the core of the entire system, neither requiring grid connection nor necessarily installing batteries.

Direct Solar Power Generation System The working principle is that solar power generation and utility power (or diesel generator, etc.) supply power to the load simultaneously. When solar power generation is greater than or equal to the load power demand, utility power consumption is zero and no reverse power is fed back to the grid; when solar power generation is less than the load power demand, utility power automatically supplements and supplies power to the load.

In this system, we reserved an interface for the energy storage system. If a suitable energy storage system is matched, it can also be used as an off-grid system.

1. Photovoltaic Priority Mode
1. When photovoltaic energy is sufficient, photovoltaic supplies power to the load and charges the battery simultaneously;
2. When photovoltaic energy is insufficient and battery voltage is greater than 48V or 96V photovoltaic and battery jointly supply power to the load, utility power does not supply power to the load;
3. When photovoltaic energy is insufficient and battery voltage is less than 48V or 96V battery output power will be linearly reduced, supplying only part of the power to the load, and the remaining power is supplied by utility power.
  Significant Advantages
1. The system prioritizes the use of photovoltaic energy, and utility power is only used as a last supplement when photovoltaic energy and battery are insufficient, greatly reducing electricity costs;
2. This mode avoids frequent switching between battery and utility power, reducing battery charge-discharge cycles and extending battery life;
3. Photovoltaic, / battery, and utility power seamlessly integrate to provide stable and reliable power supply to the load.

2. Utility Priority Mode:
1. When photovoltaic energy is sufficient, photovoltaic supplies power to the load and charges the battery simultaneously;
2. When photovoltaic energy is insufficient, photovoltaic and utility power jointly supply power to the load, and the battery does not supply power to the load;
3. When photovoltaic energy is insufficient and utility power is out, photovoltaic and battery jointly supply power to the load;
4. When there is no photovoltaic energy and the battery discharges to the low voltage protection point, utility power fully supplies power to the load.
  Significant Advantages
1. The system prioritizes the use of photovoltaic energy, and utility power supplements only when photovoltaic energy is insufficient for local load use, making full use of photovoltaic energy;
2. In this mode, the battery only discharges to supplement power when photovoltaic energy is insufficient and the grid fails. Generally, the battery remains fully charged, greatly extending battery life.
